REVIEW: Garnier BB Cream

I've never really been one for BB creams, I always assumed they had little to no coverage kinda like a tinted moisturiser. However, this summer my skin came out really oily, and my foundation was proving too heavy for the weather, so I thought I'd try a light base that could keep my oils at bay.

I thought I'd try this Garnier BB cream as I'd heard good things about it and I can easily tell why this is a much loved product because it literally is a miracle. When I first used it I was amazed at the coverage and how well I could build on it without it getting cakey or sticky. I have a lot of redness all over my face which is the main reason I want such high coverage - because it does peek through everything - but with this it doesn't! The foundation does an incredible job at evening out my skin tone for hours and best of all - it never melts off!

I have literally been wearing this non stop since I got it - I even wear it on nights out because I know my makeup won't be going anywhere. This is quickly becoming one of my holy grail products, and I recommend trying it out for yourself. Even if you don't have oily skin, I'm sure it will even out your skin tone and blur all of your imperfections.

Summer Essentials

Even though summer is coming to an end, I have condensed my summer essentials so that they are so minimal but I just feel like whenever I have any of these things, my summer feels complete!

Everyone needs a good summer scent and even though this perfume isn't light and fresh like most summer scents are, I just fell in love with this. It's actually quite strong so you don't need much of it, but I think it's quite sweet and sophisticated.

I use this all year round, but in summer I never miss a day seeing as I have my legs out a lot! I love this so much, it adds a really nice healthy summer glow and is amazing at moisturising my legs.

Now, everybody needs a pair of sunglasses for summer, it is just the unwritten rule of the season. Mine are from a market stall in Venice when I forgot to pack mine, and I chose these because I've never had brown glasses before and I thought they looked good with everything, and this style is really the only style that suit my face!

Another summer essential has to be a summer dress. It's honestly a fashion staple everyone should have. Mine is a Minkpink dress from Urban Outfitters and I love this for all seasons because it is bright as well as dark, and looks good with sandals as well as tights!

How I Style a Basic T-Shirt

Styling a basic t-shirt is something I've been loving so much at the minute, as you can pair it with anything and you can dress it up or down. I've really been struggling to find a plain white tee so I settled on this oversized plain grey t-shirt. Since starting a new job right after I threw out a lot of my wardrobe, I've been getting used to styling everything with basic tops to try and make as many outfits as I can. My grey top is from H+M and I love their basics - if you haven't, go check it out!

The first outfit it the classic jeans and t-shirt, always a favourite and never gets old, and I kept it casual with my converse and a simple long necklace. These jeans are from Topshop, and they are Joni jeans.

The second outfit is just as plain as the first, except I swapped the jeans for denim shorts. Now it's summer I invested in a good fitting pair of shorts that are easy to style with everything. I wanted them a little long so they are a little bit boyfriend styled. I also changed the jewellery to a gold chain, because it's a very slouchy outfit and I thought I'd add some edge and statement to it.

The third outfit is a skirt and I have many skirts but I chose this one because I've been loving grey so much (not like you couldn't tell - every outfit has been grey)! I thought I'd dress this one up a little more with these studded boots I got from Forever 21 and silver bangles.

The final outfit is probably my favourite and I've been wearing it a ton, and it breaks out of the entirely grey theme even if it's only slightly. I got these black skinny trousers from Topshop and I think it makes the outfit a bit more pulled together even though it's still casual. To add a little more I paired it with this great pink chandelier type necklace, and sandals to match.

All of these outfits are interchangeable and there's even more that can be paired with a simple basic t-shirt, this is just a little insight onto how I would style it.

I hope you enjoyed this and thanks for reading!
