,

I'VE BEEN GONE FOR SO LONG!

HONESTY HOUR: I took a break from blogging at the end of April, deciding that I just wasn't enjoying it anymore. I thought that a break would give me time to find some inspiration and motivation in order to blog, but all I've done is procrastinate and have been making so many excuses as to why I let myself become so disinterested in something that used to be my favourite hobby. In my defence, my laptop broke sometime in April; it just decided it would turn off at random times and be less than helpful, but I had so many opportunities to get a new one or look at getting it fixed; I didn't even ask about it. Didn't buy my camera either, and used my laptop breaking as another excuse as to why I hadn't bought something I could so easily afford at the time.

At the minute I am typing up this post on a brand new laptop(!) and looking forward to the months ahead, prioritising my money and prepping myself for university, and most of all not putting any pressure on myself. I'll get back into blogging the same way I'll get back into playing the guitar; slowly. I don't want to force myself to be interested in something that I'm just not feeling because all it does is makes me feel unmotivated and bored.

If anyone feels the same as I do, just remember that blogging is something that you do to enjoy, and it doesn't have to be all or nothing. It's a hobby. Just do you.

In The Nude

Jeans: Topshop Shoes: H&M

Does anyone else rejoice when the sun comes out and goes crazy in the shops for sandals, shorts and cami tops? Because it's been that way where I live and I have no shame in admitting I've gone a little mad shopping for summer. I've had these ripped jeans from Topshop since September (notice the knees are staring to bust out) but they still have them now if you wanna pick these up.

The star of the show is definitely my summer ready nude heels from H&M, 100% new in so go snap these up quick! They are so easy to pair with any outfit; you can dress them up or down and they just add a certain sophistication to your outfits.

What's your must have summer item?

Cheap Monday Smock Dress

After months of looking for a black smock dress, finding ones that a too short, too thin and quite frankly, too pricey - And I think I've finally found it! Granted, it is a little long but I am very short so that's something I can look past. I picked up this beauty at Urban Outfitters; it's from the brand Cheap Monday and it's such good quality, I didn't even mind paying the £40 price tag (though I did have a student code).

I love this for lazy days and easy days where I need to quickly put together an outfit; something that is comfortable so I can wear it practically and for lounging. Because the dress is quite long I find it looks best with heels, so I've paired the dress with my most comfiest chunky heels - and gold jewellery never hurt anyone.

Also, did I mention this has pockets?
